Swapping clusters, can it work?

to shut some ppl up, can you easily swap a previous gen (00-04) zetec gauge cluster, to a 05-07 focus? if so how can it be achieved?

Depends on the cluster, the 00-02's will not at all, the 03-07's it depends on the cluster (if you have the 3 indicators in the tach or not, whether it has one harness or two)

Even if that is so it would be very rare maybe some 2003 year transition change never seen one though.

For sure no Zetec or SVT cluster will work in a 2005-up duratec Focus.

Not completely certain on the Zetec as discussed in the other thread the box to my Roush Cluster states a Zetec but it plugs right on into my 07 duratec harness.

SVT is a DEFINITE NO though.

And as stated in that other thread, the Roush Cluster MAY not be a good one to compare too due too one model number to cover at least 2 different gauges. But the easiest thing to do would be to check the harness and whether there are the 3 indicators or not.

Zetec cluster is a DEFINITE NO on the Duratec Focus also. The SVT cluster will actually plug in and work on a 2000-2003 Zetec you just have to run an aftermarket inverter to power the El-glow back lighting ive seen that done.

Correct the SVT on the Zetec is a go but I thought we were talking about an SVT into a 05-07 which as I said is a def NO. Well at least without some work that nobody's done yet to my knowledge.
