in the end this is probably the easiest and cheapest way, unless the insurance difference is huge. although a SVt sedan would be pretty cool.

depends what youre gonna do with it.

if youre gonna carve corners and do auto cross, id go with the svt swap

if youre gonna do straightline racing and just want raw power a boosted zetec would be cheaper than a boosted svt.

From what I've seen around these forums, doing the SVT engine swap is a lot of work. A lot. Its not a drop in, plug in type of thing. I would buy an SVT. for a 'true sleeper' just keep everything basicly stock on your car and turbo the SPI on 8 or 10lbs. get a good tune if you are going to go that route.
My ride is 10 years old this year, I might bake the little hatch a cake!

I also have heard and seen the work into dropping in a SVT Engine ... but if you have time and money ... than its a no biggie.

As for insurance ... I am 27 and pay 85 monthly for the SVT and 105 for my Ford Edge ...

So for 2 cars is around 190 .... feels good.

Why not just look for a Used SVT ... they are probably all over the place now.
