k, fix it and drive it for a while. it may take a few drive cycles but an emissions code will clear itself after the next self test.

You can drive it around to reset or you can erase the code and drive around, if you replaced the hose. I've not had the gas cap set off my CEL when I got p0455, so reset the code or drive it for a bit and see if you notice a difference. I've gotten p0455 and p0171 for hoses so see what your car is telling you after you either erase or drive for some miles.

hey man i have the same problem mines reads

troubleshoothing: po455

definition: EVAP large leak detected
Explanation

the ECM has detected a large leak in the EVAP system during monitor test.

Probable cause.
1. defective loose or missing fuel cap
2.Evap canister broke, hose cracked or not connected
3.purge or vent solenoid defective
4.vacuum leak at engine

i know its not the gas cap but i dont know how to get to the other things mentioned.
where did you find the vacuum line? i would really appreciate the help. thanks

Rook mistake on my end I got a po455 code this evening and by the end of the night I had smoke coming from my engine. Lifted the hood and felt an enormous vacuum leak at the top of my valve cover aside of the drive belt. Turns out I "forgot" to tighten the engine oil cap. Oil was everywhere!! Plan on resetting the code and seeing the effects.
