Wierd 1/4 mile runs...

went to the track tonight...manual zx3 exhaust and intake...its kind of wierd because my 60 ft improved as well as quarter mile time however my mph decreased...Here is the times
1st run
60ft: 2.608
330: 7.666
1/8: 11.579
Mph 1/8: 62.87
1000ft: 14.940
1/4: 17.771
MPH: 79.07

2nd run
60ft: 2.528
330: 7.304
1/8: 11.258
Mph 1/8: 61.91
1000ft: 14.690
1/4: 17.568
MPH: 78.01

Anyone find this odd? This is with everything in the car...my first run at the track....i know how to launch my car and drive it very well...i thought id be low 17s high 16s not mid 17s...but im not mad...anyone help?

me too,
My best is 17.03 =1/4
10.73=1/8
I thought that was low, I want low 16 at least.
I'm not mad, but wish I knew the exact optimum shift points with my two mods. All I know is don't over-rev. I do better when I shift at 5000-5300 RPMs. See if that helps

I would also suggest changing your shift point. I have tried every rpm to shift at and found 6000 is the best, the most hp is made at 6200 when you are shifting but by they time you shift you are past 6200 and loosing hp. If you shift at 6000 you will be at 6200 when you shift. If that doesn't work shift earlier. You are also probably running out of hp when you hit the end of the track, that is why your mph are down. The same thing happend to me when I first started, you just have to keep working your shifting. That really isn't a bad time with your upgrades
