Location of IAC valve

Hi there,

I would greatly appreciate if anyone has a picture that they can post of where the IAC valve is located on a 2002 focus with the 2.0L Zetech DOHC engine. I have been reading it is located between the throttle body and the engine, but am not exactly sure.

Thanks for the help

it is on the backside of the intake manifold underneath. Basically you have to remove the manifold to get to it clearly.

it is just below and to the front of the throttle body. if you remove your intake from the TB, you will see a silver metal cylinder shaped object bolted to the side of the throttle body, facing the front of the car. the best way to view it is from the driver's fender. from that view, it will have a black connector on the back of it.

there are two bolts that hold it on, 8mm if i remember correctly. the bottom bolt is not viewable, you have to feel for it.

Here is a pic of where it is supposed to be. See in the center where there are 2 holes.

I think most people simply remove the air filter box and reach back there to remove it.
