Changing out hubs for different bolt pattern?

Just wondering if anyone has tried this yet? I havnt researched yet if any other ford vehicles hubs would fit. I know with other cars you can usually swap out to achieve a different lug pattern. It would be nice to fit a bigger variety of rims to our cars. We have such a meager selection for the 4x108.
And yes, I will be using the "search" function, but figured I would put this out there anyway. Thanks!

The Mazda 3 hubs with fit in the back. Their the same as a SVT rear, but have a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. As for the fit, i haven't reall expiermented with it yet.

Or you can just get some adapters, I have some on ebay right now.

The downside to the adapters is referenced in the ebay add. They reduce a wheels offset significantly. So much so that most wheels with common offsets will end up rubbing. A one inch thick adapter reduces offset 25.4mm or reduces the offset of a 49mm wheel to the equivalent of 23.6mm. That presents different wheel fitment issues all by itself not to mention increasing the load on bearings etc.

So what year Mazda 3 hubs will fit? And its only the rears that will swap out? I'd rather swap out hubs than add adapters. It will be a pain to find rims with the correct offset that will fit them.

Any solution to the fronts? What are the reasons the Mazda hubs dont fit the front?

Thanks for all the help guys!!

ANY year, the rears are all the same. As for the front I never tried it, the problem with the front is the axel spines. The number of spines have to match.

Could you have them plugged and redrilled like you can with rims sometimes or is that a no go?

Well if you were to plug the holes where your current studs are and drill new holes for the studs you are only weakening the structure of the hub itself. I can see where you're coming from though Brett. Plus going through all that trouble to do something like that it would be cheaper just to find a hub that would match up. Well at least a used hub that is.

What is this HT performance hub swap you speak of? :)

The 4x100 would be nice, but I would kill to have 5x4.5 on my car!!! The rim options would be nearly limitless

Also, you would have more rear brake upgrades.

Ksport, Wilwood to name a few.
