SFT thread

I wanna make this thread For our NC & SC crew to talk about resent things in our life so we dont have to open a new thread all the time. I'll start....Mike at hilbish took me out for about an hour today to teach me how to drive stick, an it was actually really easy except going up a hill @ a dead stop i must of stalled the car at least 12 times an olny ground the gears once.

Please Mods dont lock this thread

Good job Blackcatn20! You'll need that skill if you ever want an SVT Focus. They don't come in auto! I have only spoken with Mike once, but he seems like a cool guy. I look forward to the next meet.

What'd he take you out driving in? It sounds like it wasn't an SVT, so I'm guessing it was a 5-speed. Mike is a great guy, that's cool that he showed you how to drive a stick. I didn't know you had never driven a stick. That's pretty bold to have him putting in a manual tranny without knowing how to drive it - you have my respect, sir.

I remember the first car I ever bought was a manual, and my Dad had to drive it home for me since I didn't know how to drive one. We spent the afternoons for the next two weeks with him teaching me how to drive it around a school parking lot.

Oh, and did Mike take you out for a ride in his car on the on-ramps? If not, you definitely need to ask him about that.

BTW, good idea for the SFT thread.

Hey Brandon, I haven't heard from you in a while - how are you feeling? Back to work again I hope. Has anyone started on the repairs for your car yet?

I will have to agree with you, Mike is a great guy and very helpful. He changed out my clutch master cylinder for me and that cloverleaf offramp in concord, HANG ON!!

I remember trying to learn how to drive a stick in my dad's 67 chevelle, that clutch would give your leg a workout. Needless to say it took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it.

Hey Brent, I am back to work. The car's repairs hasn't been started yet. Insurance is dragging their feet.

Austin: In Mecklenburg county the sales & use tax is 7.25% as of April 1st.

Brandon: Man that sucks. Are you still driving Rattles, or is Cameron giving you a ride to work?
