Is The Engine even turning over?? If Not It's possible you disconnected the clutch switch with your foot, I've done it a few times

prolly time for a starter. check the clutch sensor and make sure its still hooked up. if it is its prolly the starter. do you hear a click sound when you try to crank it coming from under the hood area? you can try this which may or may not work and prolly wont work for long. if you have a zetec engine your starter will be on the backside of your engine under the intake manifold. you can try tapping it with a wrench.m after you tap on it go and try to normally crank up the car. what happens is sometimes they get seized in place and need a lil tapping to break free. this means its time for a new one. mine did this yesterday. tapped in about 3 or 4 times and it fired up. prolly have to get a new one soon. try that and let me know what happen.

If you're hearing a clicking sound, and the battery is good, then it's likely to be the starter. With an electrical tester, you can do some tests to be sure. I would have the battery tested first regardless of everything else.

i think its the clutch sensor that keeps you from starting the car in gear. my button that pushed it broke so i now have to manually press it when i start the car. Kind of like a cheap kill switch haha

Does the motor turn over or just click? More than likely the starter if it doesn't turn over and just clicks.

If there is a problem with the clutch sensor, I would not expect to hear any clicks, i.e., I believe the clutch interlock switch kills the power before, not after, the relay.
