if the clutch is gone, i doubt ill be done by the 25th because ill be ordering a new one and it will take awhile for it to get here. if its just the throwout bearing like im hoping ill be back on the road tomorrow. luk 6 pucks supposedly have a history of giving up after roughly 20k miles and ive got around 23k on mine. im pulling motor and tranny all at once and am taking a break atm. its so much easier when you have a cherry picker and can just pull the whole damn thing out the top. i should have it apart in about an hour.

Well that sucks man. Hmmm, not glad to hear that about the luk kit. I got mine like 10k ago. Supposed to be a lifetime warrenty though. Now i need to find my receipt so I can be safe. Haha. i love stick shift but hate clutches, going out anyways.

I'm certainly interested. I live in Columbia so it will be a short drive for me for sure.

alright im aggrivated! i tore the S.O.B. apart and inspected everything. clutch looks brand new with normal wear (by my estimation i should have at least 80k miles left on it) pressure plate good, throwout bearing looked good but i replaced it anyway. put it all back together and still no go with the same problem i was having. push clutch to the floor and try to put it into gear, no go. however i can roll it off and get it in gear without using the clutch (it grinds tho). and its just a bitch getting it to take off. only did this in the back yard. tore it apart again, re-inspected everything, opened up the tranny, didnt see anything, didnt touch anything (because im scared to) closed it up, put it back together, cranked the car and BOOM! the dirty little son of a biscuit eating mother @$^#ing sheep herder works just fine. im gonna be scratching my head over this one for awhile.

hey hey! it was supposedly a LS1 trans am with cams and i pulled him from a dig up to 90mph where i let out in 4th. i had street tires, he had really really wide street tires AND he left before me but id already caught up before i caught 2nd. of course i would never dream of pulling any shenaniganz like that on the street except this particular drag stip had a traffic light
