Who: Mark S.
Where: Fairmont, WV 26554 Email: sutyakm at gmail dot com What: 2006 Ford Focus ZX5 SES, Sonic Blue Why: Need less of a project car and more of family-oriented car. I have an 11-month old and one on the way! Trade for: any ZX5 or wagon plus cash. WILL consider other types of vehicles that are 5-doors or wagons or small SUV (like an Escape). General: - Original owner, bought new - Title in hand - Grey cloth seats - Cruise control - MP3 player (stock) - JBL GTO speakers (have stock) - 35% tinted windows except hatch - 31k miles on car, 68 miles on engine - Unknown miles on turbo, but rebuilt by me appx 3k miles ago - Stock wheels with Fuzion HRi 205/50-16 tires - Clean interior - Non smoker - Added an extra 12V oulet VERY handy Please look -> HERE <- for full details about the turbo build. Turbo overview: - IHI RHB52 from a Thunderbird TC - Port-matched the IHI turbo to the T3 flange, after dyno - 9.5psi wastegate, adjustable - 2.5" IC piping - 2.5" in/out Intercooler - Diablosport MAFia - Stock MAF, draw-through configuration - 3" turbo back: 3" cat, 3" Magnflow, 3" glasspack as a resonator - Mostly stainless piping all mandrel bends, steel welds - Innovate LC-1 wideband with LED readout on dash - Ford Racing boost+oil gauges, wired to dimmer switch - SCT Xcal 2, originally tuned by LaSota Racing - SCT Pro Racer Package software and license dongle (ECM code TTC1) - 5/8" Oil return welded into the oil pan - 3AN oil feed and .063" restrictor - Exedy stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel Details/History: This car ran perfectly with no problems until an overboost issue damaged the rings. A cheap rubber vac nipple dry rotted and caused the wastegate to not see boost. The car seemed to run OK afterwards, but over the past few months it has gotten worse. I recently picked up a 2006 D20 engine with 68 miles on it. I have pulled it apart to make sure all is well and it is beautiful! I will be swapping engines this weekend. It will have a new valve cover gasket, new plugs, new serpentine belt, new coolant of course, and 5w30 synthetic oil. Before the overboost issue the car made 204whp/224tq at 10psi with a conservative 91-octane tune. I ran it at the track once after the turbo to a 14.7 on that conservative tune. I really think more agressive timing up top would yield more power and better times, but please consult a tuner before playing even though you'll have complete control of your own tune. Issues: - Small cracks and scratches on the front bumper cover on the left, underside due to not seeing a "decorative" rock in a friend's driveway. - Rock also cracked the black fog light surround. - Needs engine as mentioned above, but I'll take care of that. edit: New engine is installed and running great. - Has some speedo "float" after the Phantom Grip install. I believe due to going with an earlier diff for the build. Still have stock diff and plan to put that back in so the speedo and cruise control works appropriately. edit: PG removed and no more speedo float. - Cruise control doesn't currently work due to the speedo float. edit: Cruise works fine now. - Typical scuffs here and there from daily use. No major scratches except the front bumper. - Minor exhaust leaks What I want: 5-door hatch, wagon, or small SUV such as an Escape. I do not want a 3-door or sedan. I really want a stock-exhaust vehicle. Aftermarket springs are OK if the drop is no more than 2". Tint OK if 20-35%. No darker. Perfer manual transmission but if auto go ahead and make the offer. NO forced induction unless from the factory. Price: I have at least $3k invested in all of my mods. Probably more and not including the new engine. Kelly Blue Book value: $9,155 (good condition, private party) Bottom line, looking to trade for a car valued at appx $11,000 or the difference in cash. Might consider $11k outright. I am not desperate to sell this. It's paid off, fun to drive, and will run fine after the new engine. However if you think you have a deal for me post up. This way the buyer has nothing to install and can just drive away in a turbo car that they can even tune themselves. PICS ![]() ![]() ![]() New engine: ![]() ![]() Dyno (lean spot is tuned out)

Well the new engine is in and the car is on the road.
I highly doubt I'll trade or sell it, but if anyone has a serious interest I may be swayed.

I could use a wagon, but this car is fine too. The new engine is running great. Sticking to 7-8psi for now.
