High Temp Consideration (Timing)
I'm doing a track event this weekend. I've done some prep for the summer heat; oil cooler, thicker oil (rotella T 5w40), and water wetter.
I just checked the forcast for the track and it's expected to be 99*F with a heat index of 105*F for the weekend. I'm a bit concerned about running a turbo ap out right in such a condition. I'm dropping my AFR to 11:1 (8psi) for the event. Would taking 2-3 degrees of timing out help? |

If your tune already has timing pulled for high ACT, then no it wont help.
I would datalog on the way out there or maybe on the first lap to see if theres any knock. But a good tune shouldnt have a problem with this.
