Mustang News!!!!
Finally, Ford is getting rid of the 4.0L v6, that ancient trash they just threw into the Mustang. Many on here would not even touch a Mustang with a V6 in it, but the v6 makes huge profits for Ford. The word is that the 3.7L V6 with direct injection will be coming to the v6 stang. Specs have not been released yet but the one in other Ford products puts out about 270hp. Whether that can be tuned to put out more or not, I'm not sure, but its probably possible. Even if the engine is not retuned to match the V6 in the camaro, the Mustang will still be a serious competitor as it is much lighter. This isnt set in stone, but supposly Ford has reworked the ecoboost 3.5L so that it can be used in rwd applications such as the F-150 which it is going in next year. So at least that is available. I know many are hoping for an ecoboost engine to jump into the mustang, and it still might happen, but really anything is better then the 4.0L.
The second thing is that the Track Pack is now available from Ford as well as Ford Racings Handling pack, which comes with a full warranty. It seems you can apply either to both the v6 and the gt. V6 mustang, with less weight then the GT...with a stronger engine, possibly ecoboost....and a track pack/Fr handling pack. That thing is going to be an amazing drive. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/r...liter-dohc-v6/ http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/f...-ford-mustang/

They're redesigning the Explorer as well, which also uses the 4.0. It will be on a unit platform, instead of body-on-frame, probably based on a modified Flex base. Should also have similar improvements in performance with the 3.5 / 3.7.

Yeah, I just read that article over on AutoBlog. I love the gold color, the Mach-1 intake, the wheels, the whole thing.
Don't you wish they had Ford racing parts/options or Ecoboost for the Focus? |

"Ride height lowered by more than 1 inch" is something that car does need. It stands awkwardly tall in stock form which is about the only thing I don't like the look of (besides the black plastic handlebar moustache on the front).
