Tampa/St Pete Fcus mechanics?
Whats up guys.
Wondering if there are any shops in the Tampa/St Pete area that specialize in working on the Focus and selling parts? |

the only thing close that sells parts, well aftermarket, is cfm ( central florida motorsports) um most of the stuff is pretty simple to do urself. what r you looking on doing. i have a shop i go to that the are awesoem mechanics but they dont specialize with any cars, but they get a lot of ws6's and a lot of srt's.

Thanks for the responses guys.
Well the car developed a chattering/knocking noise a couple days ago and I wanted to take it to a shop that deals with these cars on a daily basis. Some place with Focus experience that has seen the quirks the cars have. I don't have any experience with these cars so when something isn't quite right I don't know what to look for. I'll try to make it out to a meet, but work hampers that some what.

you can take it where phils car is, they have been "taking care" of it for about a month now!!!! thats about as daily as it gets.....
if you have knocking sounds, then i would be the kind of guy who would take it to a ford dealership....thats just me, its ford and they should know more about the car than another mechanic. I know this place in tampa called Fosters, they put my exhaust on and fixed robs, and also welded my rear sway bar brackets, they could take a look at it, while i was there they were tinkering with a vette that was having problems. i would trust them.

It only seems to make the noise in 6th gear starting at 3000rpms. Below that nothing and doesn't do it it in gears 1-4 driving around town.
Sound doesn't seem to be hurting performace or gas mileage and no lights on the dash are coming on. |
