I also had a time with the parking lights. What i did was lay 2 layers of electrical tape going vertically up the bulb housing where the car's harness connects to the new one making it a tight fit. I had already broken my tabs previously but they stayed on the Ford light's bulb holder fine, these, it was a no go. My pics will join this tread progressively through the day as it warms up outside and before I go on duty tonight.

I was so excited to get them in that I didn't take progression pics but...here's before(aka stock lights with tinted side markers)

And here are a few after shots. My night shots didn't come out too great but I'll try to grab some tonight at some point.

Good choice. That looks right.

Hi! I'm a new 2011 SES owner and I just picked up these lenses (haven't received them yet). Just to clarify, these use H9 bulbs? And also, has any tried LED alternative bulbs?

Thanks!

Yes, they are H9 bulbs. Not sure if anyone's tried LEDs.

So a day after I installed these, I'm having a bit of trouble with the directionals. Sometimes the right one works, sometimes it doesn't. I thought it might be that when the connection is cold it's bad, but when it warms up it would get better. It doesn't appear to be the case.

Does anyone have any advice? I'm thinking about trying to pick up some sort of LED bulb and hope it has better connections. Sigh. Ah, well. The halos are still absolutely freakin' awesome, and they turn lots of heads.

I have yet to see any LED drop in replacements that would be nearly as bright as normal halogen H9s, or remotely close to 35W HIDs, and definitely not a chance as bright as 55W HIDs.

What I did with the directionals is run electrical tape vertical down the sides so that the connector fits on tighter...I believe I did 2 or 3 layers on each side. Worked for me, prior to that they blinked on close to every bump. Let me know if that works for you or if you need pics to better describe what I'm talking about.

Pics would be great, as I'm not sure I'm understanding correctly. Not to mention everyone loves pictures!

I used a post-it note for my example since I didn't want to venture out into the cold to get to my toolbox yet. Like I said in the previous post, I used layers or electrical tape to help make a tighter connection between the car's harness, and the directional's harness since it doesn't seem to fit tightly at all.

I cut the strips of electrical tape long enough so that the could be folded inside of the connector.
