X3/SF3 tune loading/tune removing.

i want to take a tune off my x3. i little while ago i had a ford racing head and got it tuned at mcnews. i wrecked that car and now i have another zx3. the problem is when i try to load the pre-programmed sct tune it seems like it automaticly loads the mcnews tune and my car runs like crap (retarded timing, high FP and more) i want to remove the mcnews tune and reset the device so i can use the regular sct tune for 87 and change things like fan speed, egr, and o2 sensor...

What is the part number of your tuner? 3000 or 3015?

Then when you go to program your vehicle you should have the option of choosing either pre-loaded or custom. Custom would be your mcnews tune and pre-loaded would be the base SCT files. If there is no choice for pre-loaded then the device has been formatted to remove the pre-loaded files. If that has happened, there is no way to get them back onto the device. If you then only have the custom file on there, the only thing you can do is load a new custom file into one of the other tune locations (there are 3 total) then choose THAT file to flash your vehicle with. Either that or put the new custom file in the same slot as your mcnews tune which will overwrite that file.

i have the option for the pre-loaded tune but when i load it and drive the car it feels REALLY bad. i did 87 tune no o2, no egr, and changed the fan temps and when i drive the car it pulls timing big time. when i accelerate it goes to about 6* when i do a datalog with the x3. and it increases the fuel pressure to 45psi. the sct base file doesnt increase fuel pressure thats why i think the mcnews tune replaced the base file. also my alternator never used to shut off at wot now it does...

With how the device works, it is not possible to overwrite or replace the preloaded files.
