funny idle

Now before you tell me to go search about this...i have and i haven't found what im looking for.

Today, i installed FC 65mm TB and mac short ram. Now. When i put the TPS on the TB i made sure it was correct, im 100% sure that the TPS is placed correctly. Now, i ported the intake to 65mm to match up to the tb and siliconed the gasket and tb. I put everything back together, put the MAC on. Had the battery out during installation so the computer has been reset. Started the car. I knew it was going to be a little funny at first. The idle was at 2 grand. i backed the idle screw on the TB all the way out. Its completely off the stop right now and the car is idling at 1500 rpm. I've played with the damn thing all afternoon. I've drove the car probably 50 miles and reset the computer twice, rotated the tps just a little in the screw holes....nothing works. The car sits at idle at 1500 or 1200 somewhere in there. If im driving it, when i come up to a stop light and hit the clutch, the idle jumps to 3k and SLOWLY comes back down to 1500...

So my question...wtf is up with this. I know the TPS is correct so i don't know what else it could be... There appears to be no leaks of any kind under the throttle body...any help would be appreciated, i just don't get what i've done wrong or whats making the car act the way it is...

Is you MAF meter connected... Not say yours is not its a simple thing to over look. Check to see if the connection to the wires of the TPS are secure. Does it throw a CEL?

Well, when I did my install, my friend and I looked at the documents that came with the TB, and for one there was no mention on there of what to set the '03 5spd to, so I figured it would be the same as the other 5sp's, while in fact when we were comparing the two, and seeing how it was all set on the stock TB, it was a closer match to use the setting for the ATX instead (?!). And lo and behold, it idles like a charm around 600/700-ish.... weird..

i hate to say it but you might have a bad TPS. once i installed my tb and intake i noticed the higer revs at idle so i too adjusted the screw as to where the idle is about 800 rpms. then after a while, i noticed my tach was all over the place. i was like wtf? it would idle @ 4K and then slowly go all the way down to 800. i didnt know what was wrong until i took it to the dealer and they told me it was my TPS. of course they tried to blame the tb and thats just a whole other story im not getting into. anyway, the TPS was replaced and my car is doing fine right now.

well i have a 01, and i even though about changing the TPS around to see what it would do, because i think it needs to be turned more...but being as it is screwed on i can't really turn it much more. This shits pissing me off though, i can't figure out why it is running like this and it is using a lot more gas it seems... I filled up yesterday before i did the mods, im at almost half a tank today....everytime im stopped the motor is reved so bad its sucking gas...so its really irritating me that i can't figure this out. It basically sounds like im riding the gas in the car...when i hit the clutch its as if i never come off the gas, but im not touching the gas...so does anyong have a CLUE as to what to do?

first off, read my thread. then go to the dealership. also why do you have a 2.5" exhaust on your car? if anything thats hurting the engine because you dont have any FI. you should really be going with a 2 1/4" system.
