route 84 between skyline and route 1 is one of the best mountain roads I've ever driven. smooth pavement, banked corners, fast... it's world class. Sherrif Deparment is on patrol, not CHP.

between 280 and skyline it sucks though... it would be great except for the traffic. and if you go early to beat the traffic look out for the angry cyclists.

There are some great roads in the east bay hills if you're going that direction.

awesome man i think 84 is the one we will be taking. i got to looking at it and it looks awesome. Goggle maps is an amazing thing. hahaha.

i got a good route for you, take 280 and get off at Alpine road, take alpine up to Skyline then skyline up to 84. Alpine is pretty bumpy in places but not as busy as 84 between 280 and skyline, but it's tight ans twisty.

if your girlfriend says she like riding with you, she will stop saying that after this ride... IMO it's better to go by yourself so you can let loose without making her puke.

hahaha no she really likes driving. though you are right she may not like to anymore after this but it should be fun. and ill look into that. thanks
