How is working with plastic as compared to, say, body work with sheet metal and body filler?

To me the plastic seems more tedious and finicky to work with.
I prefer metal work because you can bend, shape, hammer and weld it. The bodywork end of it is about the same: Fill, sand repeat if needed. The switch I'm using is an eBay find. It's an AutoLoc brand and retails for $99 on their site. I bought mine for $27 shipped! It also has nice aluminum trim on it and it's lighted. The price of the OEM Ford GT button is almost my whole budget!!

Sounds great, are you going to try to bypass the PATS or just do an ignition switch bypass for said switch?

Some will be a bypass, some will be a piggy back.
I will bypass the PATS but there will be security in place that disables the button and ignition. I have a passive RFID system designed for auto locks. The car won't start if you don't have the fob in your pocket or at least in the car.

That setup looks great! I'm really impressed with the work you did. If the push button start up works out, please post pics with a how to. Or, just the pics will do. I guess. :)
