with all these pics your taking you need to invest in a camera, or borrow one! im bummed about the high beams. i compared the bulb they gave me to the h9 bulb i already own and its the same thing, so that just baffles me even more. im going to do a before and after with hids, im going to go to the same spot and compare what the difference is.

lol i know, oh yea apparently the h9-h11 hid bulb are the same, so i was sent the h-11 bulb it fit perfect with no problems, i was about to be pretty heated lol

NO!!!!!!!!!
They are NOT the same. i'm going to find the picture i have regarding this. the h9 bulb has an extra male prong in the middle of it, where the h11 does not. our foglights are originally h11, but i filed out that extra prong to make the h9 bulb fit in the h11. the h9 bulb is A LOT more brighter than the h11. geez ill have to find the pics, there was a thread a while back about this. the h9 bulb is usually used as high beam so it produces a lot more lumens than the h11, which is usually a fog light. i got the idea from BradWhite, in his profile it says that he did this as well. yes the h11 will work for you, but it wont be as bright as the h9 would. take them back! if you google h11 to h9 mod youll find a bunch of threads about this!

yea i seen somewhere that the h9 is brighter, this is the case for hid's too?
yea i seen a couple of threads on filing that extra piece off. Are h11 dual beams?

after i posted i thought about that. i don't think all hid bulbs (going from h1 to h4 to h9) are all the same brightness. if they were, that would mean, and im just making up these numbers, h1 would require say 20w to produce a given brightness, and h4 would require then 30w and so on. i thought all hids were 35w for legal onroad use, but i could be mistaken. that would be a better question for an hid salesman to know. i know if it were me i would take them back anyways because its not the light that i ordered.

only 9003 (h4), 9004, 9007, and 9008 (h13) are dual filaments.

oh yea the grill was about 120 shipped from tousleyfordparts. i had to email them for pricing and ordering,
anyway i'm all modded out for now lol

he gave me some valuable info that i didnt know about. all the hid bulbs are the same, the different between the h9 and say an h13 is the bottom base that has the keys to turn into the car. the actual bulb is the same, regardless of type, so it gives out the same output. this means you wont need to worry about it.
