Poly Mounts
I am thinking of getting the Steeda Right Mount, The Steeda Left Tranny Mount and the CFM Lower Torque Mount Street Stiffness.
Anyone that has these: How much is my ride quality going to change? Am I going to get serious vibration? Anyone that has these let me know what you thought of before and after. Thanks, Joe |

Where am I?

I have the VF Engineering mounts on the transmission and the passenger side as well as a Massive dogbone replacement. It does transfer a little bit of vibration back into the steering wheel at idle. But once you are moving, you don't feel any difference.

I don't know if this applies to non-svt foci, but I remember the steeda upper mount having clearance issues, get the VF or CFM upper.
The 'ride quality' won't really change, but you will notice shifts will be a little sharper and maybe even faster throttle response depending on how worn the original mounts were. The amount of vibration you feel after installation will depend largely on the condition of your motor. Last edited by DarwinSays; 03-27-2013 at 10:36 AM. |

The steeda mount bushing sit up higher then the vf engineering one. You'll have to carve out the bottom of the battery case w/ the steeda vs the vf one. The vf sits flat compared to the steeda one. This is on the drivers side= trans mount.

I have no air box or battery under my hood or battery tray. I like the look of the Steeda better. Already ordered all three mounts. Thanks for the info. Joe |

Thats great. I also like the Steeda one better. I'm going w/ the vf engineering one myself= I have a D-tech & I didn't want to mod my battery tray or have clearence issues.

And just for future reference and to avoid confusion for others. The Trans mount is under the Air box for 00-04 foci and under the battery tray for 05-07 foci.

Hope i don't gotta carve out anything with the new massive mount. But from what i read , it uses a stock mount , with bushings pressed in.
