Painting Seats?

Has anyone tried changing the color of their seats?

I am thinking about going to a lime (Monster Energy) green but just for the center stripe on the SVT seats.

My questions are:

What brands of Upholstery paints are good?

Are there any special "techniques" that will ensure a good finished product?

Has anyone had regrets in doing this?

Thanks in Advance,
Bill

Never seen anyone do this to there seats.

Personally, I'd try to find another set of seats either at a low cost to paint or that are already green. That way you can sell the ones you have and maybe come out with a profit. Furthermore, you'll probably get sick of the green color after a year or so maybe it would be wise to keep the stock seats as spares.

You have the cloth red seats, right?

I dont know how well that would turn out on the SVT seats. That fabric is much different from what you find on the average car.

You might consider finding an upholstery shop and just having them replace the cloth instead.

Thats what I'd do also. I'd feel that the paint would wear & you'd have to redo them ever so often.
