how do i silence the air bag/seatbelt chime?

I installed SVT seats in to my ZTS Sedan. The wiring harnesses didn't match up so I constantly have an air bag warning light on and the chime that goes off every couple minutes or so. Is there any way to silence this?

yes. look in your owners manual and they give you a how to. i turned mine off because i am always driving from building to building on campus and theres no need to put on my seat belt for driving on a side street 200 feet away. it was something weird like put the key in the accessory position, put the parking break on, click the seatbelt 10 times...etc haha.

yah u have to do it twice if u want both seats not to set off the chime u have to sit in the seat turn the key to accessory wait for the Seat belt light to turn off (takes about 2 minutes) the click the seat belt in and out 10 times within 30 seconds ( like said above look in your owners manual in the seat belt section near the back gives step by step instructions)

but he said the wiring harness didnt match up, so wouldnt that mean that the car wont know if the seatbelt is plugged in or not. thus making it quite difficult to turn off the beep?
just a thought

Plug in the old seat and turn it off with the old seat then put your SVT seat back in
