Would an Eaton M62 Supercharger work in my Duratec?

Okay, I have always wanted to supercharge my car..and I was talking to a friend about it and he suddenly mentioned the Eaton m62 supercharger that works for 2.0-4.0 engines..I looked on ebay and they're selling rebuilt M62's for 375$! Now I know that I'd havta custom fabricate a mounting bracket and my friend was telling me I had to get a throttle body spacer or 65mm throttle body and a longer belt...what else would I need? bigger injectors? cosworth inatke manifold? better fuel rails? what EXACTLY would I need to bolt this baby on and get close to 200hp? It sounds like an inexpensive to gain a few ponies..

A lot of time and fabricating. Give it a try and let us know. When you get it done, and tuned, youll be the only guy with a supercharged dtec, and you will have your own cult. Then you can sell all the tricks of the setup, and make some money.

Lol, gokart...I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING! if I get this project to become a success..I can start selling this kit..and i'd make it affordable to all duratec members cuz I know that everyone is on a budget these days! But I am going to talk to this speed shop called ford speed and I want to see if together we can make this possible..It is a nicely compact supercharger and I'm almost positive it will fit..just need to find out what I need to put it all together..that's why I'm asking for help!

from the looks, you would have to fabricate an intake manifold. and i dont know specs. but im sure it probably wont fit, and if your positive it'll fit, then you havent been under the hood of a duratec focus much. because there is hardly enough room for the a/c compressor on the front side of the motor. let alone a supercharger.

and that brings it to another point. where in the hell are you going to mount it? you'll most likely have to loose a/c or power steering or even both.

not being a downer, just realistic. i feal that f2 has the right approach with a supercharger for the duratec focus... the rotrex.

^^yes, the rotrex is one of the smallest ones you can get. However (this may not be important to most) it sounds the exact same as an all-motor car. The clips I've heard don't make it sound like it has FI on the car. For me that's huge--has to be appealing to ALL of the senses. If you can find a vortech blower that'd be the way to go IMO--you can run the stock IM and TB that way.

It would be like what I'm trying to do with Mazda's VVT Dtecs. I would love to get a VVT head off a mazdaspeed 5 or 6 and swap it on my fofo and get it tuned right for the VVT to cooperate with the turbo.

Let us know how it works for ya.
