how do hook up Air/Fuel ratio gauge

K i google it and it seems easy but just want to make sure i can do before i buy one. looks like you just find a 12v source and then this is were im not sure. it sounded like you tap into the O2. into the exhaust or just tap one of the wires or am i way off. someone straighten me out

If I remember correctly it is: 12V source, ground, dash lights (if lighted) and O2 sensor.
So yes it has to connect to the O2 sensor. That is were it receives its reading on the oxygen level in the exhaust which indicates how efficient the engine is burning the air/fuel mix and whether it is rich or lean.

Thats for a narrow band O2 sensor... which is just a pretty light show and basically tells you nothing about how the car is running....

If you are serious about wanting a REAL O2 sensor/gauge you need to look at retailers like AEM and FJO.... but be warned they are NOT cheap.

Yeah, I think I paid something like $250 for my wideband (can't remember which brand).
