Get about 30 to 35 commuting to work and about 40 to 41 strictly on the highway...So maybe I really didnt do a before and after MPG test. Sounds good though. after about 4500 rpm or so I can hear the intake over my new exhaust

It's still better than what I'm getting. Of course, it's about time to replace my cone filter plus I can't keep my foot out of it sometimes. LOL.

Davey, your set-up with a K&N should work well and last. I'm guessing that if you can datalog, getting your (eventual) tune dialed in with the mix-and-match parts approach shouldn't be too hard. I can't imagine a more effective filter location for an '09 CAI, BTW. Your trick of removing the foglight cove for racing is so simple, yet so right! Nice work!

^^^Thanks. The air filter seams to be working where it is. After every pass down the strip I take a temp reading and it is always the same temp, so it seams to be working alright. I am still tring to deside what to do next. Cant deside weather th get a header or a tune. Im not even sure that I want a header. It might get annoying commuting to work.
