Well I bought the headlights for the halos and projectors that came with it. I was pretty disappointed by the light output that I got even with my HID kit. The halogen projectors just didnt cut it. Plus I wanted some badass looking headlights :-P

wow that's crazy. Look at those dark spots on the aftermarket ones. I think im definitely gonna go with OEM lenses. Did you have any problems with fitment with the OEM lenses and the aftermarket headlight?

so the lenses that are sold with the headlight suck, you need to use the stock lense to get better visibility?

that seems to be whats going on. I've seen it on other retrofit projects also. It seems the lenses that comes with the headlights really distort the light output all over the place. Its not perfectly clear and smooth like the OEM one.

AUGH. The thought of taking apart $300 headlights are really punching me in the stomach hard. I would love to retrofit my headlights.

You know I was kinda worried too. But I didn't damage either headlight getting them apart. Also since I'm using the original mounting holes that the halogen projector was in, I can always swap it back if needed :-D Really all I'm doing is rounding out the hole where the housing sits.
