would this be worth it for a short shifter?

Yep, definately. Short shifting totally helps get the job done! If you plan on keepin' that car for awhile, then go for it! Soup that thang' up!

no not a short shifter i mean cutting the stock shifter to make it short lol

oh, you mean you're gunna put on an aftermarket shifter? Or you're just gunna cut it to make it shorter looking?

Yo man, jus get that hacksaw out and start cutting it , u'll have to take that black thing off but then that means no pulling that thing up to put it in reverse, i thought it worked good when i did it to mine, but now i have the FC short shifter, so yea do it, n later if you want, get a short shifter!!

it'll work, but you need an aftermarket shift knob to fit onto the rod afterwards.

youll need the thing that makes threads........damn whats it called, take shop class theyll have them, just use theirs, its the opposite if a tap, damn someone will know, they cut intot he metal and make threads so you can put the knob back on,make sure you use the right sized one too, otherwise your stuck knobless...........
