Suspension noise

I have an '01 S2 ZX3, and I have been experiencing a squeak/creak from the front and rear suspension lately, and it's getting worse. It sounds when I go around corners, and when the suspension flexes over buymbs at slow speeds (dirt driveway, potholes, etc.). Sometimes the noise appears to be coming from the steering column also.

I can make the rear susp. creak while it is parked by rocking the car with my hands. However, it only happens witht he parking brake applied. I took it to my local Ford repair shop, and they couldn't make it make noise when they drove it (go figure, the morons...), so they sprayed the bushings with silicone spray and that was that.

Does anyone else have this problem? What can I do? Help!

try lubricating the rear brake linings, they could have rust between them and the back plate. Good luck.

If you decide to lubricate the "brake linings", be sure to use a high temperature silicone grease for brake parts. There should be a couple of raised areas on the back plates that the brake shoes slide against when they move. Apply just a film of grease on those areas after cleaning off any rust.

When you park the car on a grade, put the handbrake on and get out, the suspension unloads and puts some additional tension on the rear brakes. thats where the noise comes from.

As far as the front creaking, take your car to be checked out. It can be many things.

i have a problem with my 02 zx3 it started with a noise when you made a right hand turn while engaging the clutch and i took it to my local dealership and they have had it for a month now and said that they have replaced the hub, tie rods, spindle, brake calipes and discs and pads and axles and today when i went to dealership i pulled off the lot and it started making the noise in every move i made and when i went to go around a car the steering felt like it wasn't responding and they swear it is my aftermaket struts and springs which i just had put on 2 weeks before i noticed the problem and it is the apex sport kit does any body have any kinda insight about this because i am lost and getting mad with it please help

My 01 wagon was making that same squeeky noise and I could only pin point it to somplace in the front suspension, so I took it in under warranty and the dealer ended up changing the front stabalizer links. I haven't heard the noise since.
