can you break something autocrossing?

I know im going to get flamed for this one but that's my question. what I mean by breaking is something breaking in the suspension. |

I stated this in another thread, if it breaks during an autocross, you had to fix it anyway! Unless you really abuse the car (and theres no reason to) the only thing you chew up is tires.

i went autoxing for the first time on may 24th... my power steering fluid foamed, caused my power steering pump to fail which caused the power steering rack to fail.... warranty ftw but i dont plan on going again anytime soon w/ my DD

I've had my clutch go out during an autoX once, usually nothing goes wrong though.. I did see a guy in a Subaru WRX spin out and hit the curb, it bent the whole front right wheel underneath the car and broke the windshield... That's just a spot of bad luck though. Usually nothing like that will happen.

I've seen a porsche break a fog lamp. My shifter linkage popped off the tranny. Also seen a subi go in a ditch, oh and a old car blew its auto tranny.
