walbro fuel pump

I just finished swapping in a GT40 pump in place of the stocker in my car. It was a black top, and my tuner suggested the GT40 pump or a BAP. The swap wasn't that bad actually, I had to grind down two corners on the top of GT pump and change the connecters to spade style. Got it all back together, and will do some datalogging tomorrow.

Ok,, sorry about this but i have a 2000 zx3, when rpms go up to 3200 it starts to surge and sort of bog and as rpms barely go up to its peak at 4500 rpms its at its worst.. i checked the fuel pressure a few diff. ways, the lowest was 2 psi.. im not lieing.. is that my fuel pump? and will a svt pump work.? if not what would you recommend? and im on a budget, just clarifying.

I would first check your fuel filter and the sock on the fuel pump in the tank , If both of those test correct then with your mods listed I would just go back with a stock Focus Zetec fuel pump

How are you checking the fuel psi ?

yes but howw to make a svt fuel pump fit into an zx3 gas tank...im almost concidering swapping tanks

done a brand new fuel filter,, and if im goin to have to take out the pump canister through all that trouble why not change the recalled fuel pump from 2000.. and i checked it with a machine plug in to the OBD2 and put a pressure gauge right before the fuel regulator under the hood. both were very bad. and the stock fuel pump is 245$.. i seen some others for 130 and under.idk wat to do.

There is no regulator on the Focus its all electronic , change the pump then they do go bad

Just a gee wiz, but this is the new hot setup in the GN world.
2 x Walbro 255LPH High-Pressure Pumps
Fits through stock opening
Hobbs switch kicks on second pump at boost psi of your choosing

just a quick question since i might one day turbo my 2012. I notice alot of people running 255 walbros but since i come from the mustang community we are using twin 405 walbros. Would this be to much for the little focus 4cyl or would just a single pump be ok?
