Cold Air Intakes

I'm wondering if you can put in a CAI that was listed for an earlier model Focus into a 2007 model. Will it work or is this primarily a marketing ploy in order to sell the "new" models?

I'm putting it in an 07 SE. You're correct about the 2.0

The reason I ask is because I see some setup's touting that they work on any dtech and some that are year specific.

I went with a K&N Typhoon intake for my 07 ZX4 Se and I have a 2.0L also.

Believe the only differences for dtecs is between 07 and 08. And i think transmission type comes into play.

Thanks for the replies guys. The first thing I did before posting was to check that performance link you so kindly posted here for me. It had a lot of great information for those of us who are just entering the world of the Focus. I found several different types of CAI's so I was just trying to clarify if it was broken down into year models or into engine models. Thanks again!

It might matter with the CAI's as for the year but, as for the SRI's like the Warneej's write up says it will be tight and verry close to your headlight. I would suggest if you're going to get a CAI just get one that is year specific and new so you have nothing to worry bout. But then again I like to TRY and do it right the first time.
