Reload stock Tune for emissions testing

OK. So one more time (because I could not find it).
2007 2.0l Dtec.
Emissions testing is tomorrow. So I reloaded the stock tune from my Xcal2. Is that all I have to do?
Thanks.

Ahhh. Found the thread finally. Please ignore.

^^^^^I'd say to drive the car for a few days after you do the switch. There's a "readiness" thing in the test. The car has to have been through several driving conditions before it'll pass that initial check.

The Nissans I worked on took quite a few miles to pass "readiness", after you did a reflash.

It's at the dealer now. Will let you all know how it comes out. I left the tune in it.

Depends on what is actually checked for in their emissions testing and how strict they are.

If, in the tune, any of the obd parameters have been changed (any code switches turned off, obd test switches changed etc.) these items will come back as "not available" or "not ready" which some states will fail. This is why our products are sold as "off road use" devices.

Tom would know for sure. But I did see he had some things turned off. I cannot find a Ford code list for my year focus (I found a list of ford codes, but its not marked as to what years they apply).

I passed in Illinois with Tom's tune. Here I think they only checked for cel's could be wrong. It passed nonetheless.

OK. It failed...everything!
I have loaded the stock tune. Will need to drive around for week or two I guess in put-put mode.

Arrg....Too bad. What exactly did it fail? If it was the readiness test, you need to drive a variety of conditions. All the Nissans needed a highway drive of some distance to pass the O2 readiness. They recommended at least five minutes of highway driving at about 62mph (without varying speed) to get it to pass readiness quickly (like if you were working on it).

I don't know if the Focus is similar....probably is. Some code scanners will be able to tell if the readiness is ok. Might check yours.....
