Not going to work? I don't understand the fuss. Me and Jack made it to work fine. I-485 was fine, and I-77 South was pretty clear for the most part. I did feel a little bit of sliding from time to time, but I just lifted off and maintained direction and was fine.

Now tomorrow is another story. When the melt re-freezes into ice, that's when it'll be dicey. I don't mind driving in snow, it's not a problem if you use your head and take a slow and easy pace. With ice though, all bets are off.

i had a BLAST last night. me and a few buddies took out our donor bronco (we are robbing the motor, 5.0 v8, and stuffing it in a miata this summer) which we bought for $300 and everything worked on it at the beginning of the night including 4wd. at about 3am we tied a couple ropes to the back and went scooting up the road on sleds, a VW bug hood, one snowboard, and one trying to stand and slide in his shoes (it wasnt me). it was so much fun until the 4wd quit on us and we got stuck lol. so i had to walk about 2 miles to my house and grab my busted up focus that has no front bumper or fenders and pic everybody up. the little sucker goes great in the snow. and its very forgiving when you want to have fun. going down a 4 lane road which was covered in ice/snow i yanked the e-brake and cut it. did about 4 loopty loops at 30mph let the e-brake go and the car almost did the work for me. it just straitened itself right out and we went on our way. i love our little cars

Yea guys, it's great. We NEVER get snow in Mooresville.... it always just seems to skip over us.

I went out earlier this morning in the Isuzu and had one hell of a time. It's got 4WD, but I didn't use it (.. duh.... that would be completely against the point....) The v6 in that thing has SO MUCH TORQUE it's scary. It's kinda like the universal car for the family and we've been the only ones to own it it's whole life, so it's been very well taken care of. I'm telling you guys..... you REALLY need to get out there before it's all gone!!!!!

check this out. im parked partially under the carport and i still got covered. i think we had maby 6+ inches before it all started to melt. i took this pic the next afternoon. also keep in mind that all this snow piled up on the car after i got back from the rescue mission at about 3 am.

It snow down here too an it was only like 4 inchs. people were freaking out over 4 inchs! when i lived in WI we had it up to our waste.

Yeah, 6 inches or 6 feet, people really freak out here, it's unbelievable. Within 3 miles of my girlfriends house there were literally about 5 cars off the road, including a Jeep into a telephone pole, two trucks into ditches, a Monte Carlo off an enbankment into a ditch, and a few more sliding around like crazy. People can't freaking drive...haha!

If the word snow is even mentioned in the forecast, people rush to the stores and buy bread and milk....

OMFG! Yea, what is up with that?? I'm still tryin to figure that out. Is there some un written "law" down here that says if "nasty" weather (in there perspective) is comin, they gotta rush to the store and buy up all the milk and bread to sustain themselves?

When I first got down here in 2K I was LMAO at how freaked out the people get down here over the smallest bit of weather. It's funny as shXt
