If its like anyother seat there should be a level to make it recline.

I haven't taken it apart, but the knobs do tend to turn hard. Have you tried pulling the lever to tilt the seat forward, like when you let someone into the back seat. That may free up whatever is jammed. Other than that, good luck!

All the SVT seats had two little knobs on the inside (where the arm-rest would have been). Top was for Lumbar, lower was for positioning the seat-back angle. They were a little more advanced than the seats in the standard Foci which only had the little lever for folding forward/ reclining.

^^^Ice Frogg;
Maybe you thought the upper knob was the tilt, yet it was the lumbar that was bottomed out,
hence not being able to turn the knob??

no its the bottom that won't turn. not only will that not turn but on the other side of the seat the little part where you can pull it in order to flip the seat forward to let someone in the back seat area won't pull out at all.

hmm.... something got fouled up inside. The seat covers DO peal off if you want to try and get a look at the internals. There is a little fastening strip that you need to seperate at the base of the seat-back, then roll the seat cover inside out, pulling up towards the headrest. The knobs on the side pop off; use a screwdriver.
