I don't mean to hijack your thread, but how come whenever anyone adds to their oil filter housing it's crooked like that? Is the hole just crooked like that or what?

Yes the hole is angled. I think it is so the sensor doesn't get in the way of the filter. It is the same on my Cosworth oil cooler.
