Brakes locked up!

Hi guys, I just bought myself a 2000 orange zx3 and the brakes have locked up. I don't know whether its the master cylinder or the calipers themselves. The brakes keep locking up and they usually stay locked up once in a while they may let loose. Here are the known problems.

1. I know the fluid needs to be flushed, it was completely contaminated and would barely come out when I tried to bleed the system.
2. Previous owner rigged the right brake line from the rubber line to the metal line, don't know whether this was to keep them together or what.
3. The left caliper has the bleeder valve broken with part of it still in the caliper and I can't get it out.

I was going to buy new calipers seeing as I can't get the bleeder valve out of one caliper, and a new brake line, I was also gonna get the system flushed at the same time. A friend said it may be my master cylinder, maybe someone can tell me how to tell if its going bad?

I'm open to all suggestions, thanks in advance.

you should fix all the half assed things first. one of them could be the problem.
