What you also need to think about here is the added benefit of:

1) Time AND Money you save from changing it over X# of times.
2) Addition of a spot for a water temp gauge sender.
3) For those concerned with aesthetics... its not an ugly plastic hunk!
Yeah, but you're selling to DIY'ers...the the cost of swapping is 0. I personally don't spend $$ on engine dress-up. Flash does not equal fast.

Are you implying that this will be over $100 by the fact the you want me to take in consideration these "added benefits"?

Likely so, there is no way we can produce these without sufficient capital backing to the level that Ford does. As a small startup company we are catering to the performance enthusiast, not necessarily the general public.

I would not want you to be surprised if these were over $100 or even over $150, since I know we cannot touch the price Ford sells the stock one for. Not everyone on here is a DIYer, quite a lot are DIFM people, but they need a permanent solution for this factory defect that is plaguing the Zetecs.

i cannot believe all these low-ballers. as long as its a quality piece, im willing to pay what it takes for me not to leave puddles everywhere i go. and incorporating the aftermarket temp sensor bung is a plus for me.

HTP....quit stalling and take my money! i want it now. and i want it in red

While i agree that obviously we all would like it cheaper. Im sure HTP would like to have a low production cost since they arent out to just make us spend lots of money on parts. Its not like they are going to have a huge profit margin on this. I know that once the housing goes bad on mine im going to be replacing it with this. I dont like to spend money and time constantly on parts that bad b/c of bad design. That is why I did away with the DPFE sensor. Thing went out once, I fixed it, went out again...I deleted it and installed turbo.

Great to hear you guys have listened to one of the biggest problems with the focus. You do have a future buyer right here, now mine just needs to go bad again(i dont like to fix whats not broke...yet.)

Thanks for the support! We will be posting the group buy as soon as we have the final pricing available. Thank you to everyone who posted their input during the development of this product!

We look forward to developing other products to solve other problems for the Focus.

Cheers,
Brian
