in a nutshell, what happened? blow it up or something?
any dyno vids?
any street or strip vids from inside or outside the car?

Nope he didn't blow it up, it turns out the douche that sold him the motor sold him a bad one. Still an on going project so no dyno vids either; the only vid there is, is of it starting (on basically 6cyl's, didn't know it at the time though).

yeah what kyle said lol

as far as the oil pan goes it would cost me more to ship than to get morganperformance to weld it up. i appreciate the offer. maybe i'll just leave it like it is and drive it florida after it is finished and we can pull the pan off and weld it up then

good excuse to go to FL

mrjake, I suggest looking through the stickies and the tons of build threads that people have posted.

You are asking Tim, the guy turbo'ing a *V8*, about turbo'ing a Duratec...which he has never owned.

ok i'll do a little update. i decided to redo the front engine mounts and cross member.

i dont like the plates b/c the passenger side one only attaches to the head and im afraid it would cause problems... and i never liked the cross member.

i done a lot of searching on v8 swaps in things like miatas and other small cars and decided to build an engine cradle like theirs and make some solid motor mounts (instead of plates) and attach them to the cradle/crossmember like all of them. this will also put my rack and pinion in a much better place.

ive been working on it the last couple of days. i should have it finished tomorrow and will take better pics tomorrow. if you notice the mounting on the cross member part in the front being not finished... it isnt lol

sorry its so smokey in my shop... welding with the AC on lol
