I think its funny that he is using a ls motor but other than that I don't care at all power is power and a v-8 focus is bad ass. I want to see MORE

i love the ford 5.4 motor. i dont like the sheer size of the motor. those things are so big you have to loose the brake booster to put it in the focus.

i love the ls series, any motor that can hold well over 1k hp DD with just rods and pistons is great for me. completely stock this one has been proven to hold 600whp DD.

proof in the pudding.

like i said. i dont care who made the damn motor lol. it will make great power and be very reliable. i would put a brigs and stratton in it if made good power.

the whole kit is custom. i am not buying any thing that some one else made.

and you were right it was a perfectly fine turbo 4cyl... but it just wasnt fast enough.

Good to see things coming along. The thing most people don't understand is that no matter how you slice it. GM motors have always (in my life time) been cheaper to build than a ford. The latest hotrod mag I have has a basic comparison graph. GM is about 15.57 for 1hp. Where as ford is something like 17.25. Do your math and you will come up with this. To build a 400hp ford motor it would be in the range of 6900.00. As for GM it would be 6228.00. This is for the complete motor all the way up to the intake.

It doesn't matter what kind of motor you have in a car, when someone give you slack about it, just smoke em up with the car.

I can't wait to see this done, it will be great.

working on the cross member currently. i'll post up some pics when i get it finished. it is very close. working on some gussets right now.

after the crossmember is all done i will be working on motor mounts. i will not be using normal motor mounts. i will be using block plates. then the rear cross member for the tranny and tranny mount.

then i will be starting accessories, turbo kit, wiring/ecu, and starting.

ok finally got the cross member done. much more of a task than it looks like. especially when i kept running out of stuff lol.

i made it removable, i will need all the room i can to help get this motor in and out. if you are wondering all welding is done with a harbor freight flux core. :D

i have may motor plate material ordered. i will be using 3/8 aluminum front plates and a 1/8 steel mid plate.

i made them out of cardboard so all i have to do is trace them and cut them out. since the way the ls blocks are designed i will be adding a brace/extension to the bottom of the passenger side plate that attaches where the ac bracket is from factory.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. Hell yeah about the Harbor Freight flux core. That's what I use too.

Damn, that's a thick cross-member. I don't think you'll have problems with flex :) Good on ya for all the fab work.
