Gotta admit. Hitting 150 in a focus would be a huge adrenaline rush.
Yea, most any FI focus could hit 150. My SVT Top Speed is greater than my CBR 600 F3 lol. I didnt expect that.

Turtle will just do it in 9 secs....

but really why do you need 5 lug. the old mustang came in the same lug pattern as the focus and they make most 5 lug mustang wheels in a 4 lug version as well. although the offset on any mustang wheel is going to be to low for a focus and will stick out w/o fender flares...

most mustang wheels are 19mm offset which works great if you have a rs... not to good if you got a reg focus.

although with a 5 lug you could use STi wheels from 05+ which are very expensive but have good offset and will clear huge brakes

06+ struts are bigger, I bet they fit. You could always grab the Omni kit

Yep but Massive made the Omni kit so you can put 00-05 struts into the 06+ knuckles. I would take some quick measurements and give Karl a call.

Another thing to keep in mind is the ball joint diameter, those changed to a bigger diameter in 05 so you may also need 05+ a-arms for those Mazda knuckles to work.

3 posts in a row now, it may even be easiest for you to just press the hubs out of those knuckles and put them in your stockers.

One thing I am wondering is how you are keeing the bearing together without the preload of the axle nut?

post as many times as you want you giving a lot of helpful info

i believe i'll have to make something to put preload on it so i can use a axle nut... i think most people run w/o it but i dont like the idea

yes i could get just the hub but using the newer knuckle allows me to use svt brakes instead of these tiny pos... and ive already got the brakes so no turning back on that now.

you were correct about the ball joint to... the diameter looks the same but the taper is deff different.

some measurements

mazda3 ball joint (these look the same but if you stick your finger in there the taper is different)
