Autocross SVT Focus

I am getting into autocrossing my svt and have been doing good, but i want to do better! My main question is what is you guys opinions on the traction control and abs? Do you guys get better times leaving it alone or do you pull the fuses for the t/c and abs #46 or what is working best? Any help on this or any other tips other then keep practicing is greatly appreciated!

Right foot is traction control, Left foot is ABS. Car physically has neither, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I just hit the button... you mean to tell me the '03 is still minutely active?! Always seems totally off to me; wheel spin and ey'thang.

I tried it both ways at Ford Nationals (Sunday) autoX... my times got faster, so I can't tell if it was the lack of electronic-oversight or learning the course/car better.

short answer is that the traction control slows you down, the ABS doesn't matter much either way.

So your saying if I take out the fuse for the t/c id get better times? I agree with that but how would the brake biasing affect me? Id hate to hit the brakes are the rear lock up and swing around me.

That's something you will have to decide for yourself. It depends on your car's setup, and your own driving skill.

Being a motorcyclist and auto enthusiast, I've trained myself to never hit the brakes in a corner, so it's a non issue. Also, my SVT's handling characteristics were predictable and forgiving. I had to be doing something pretty stupid to get that car into a snap-oversteer situation.
