small update... not much. but i popped the oil filter off the mount and then cleaned it and primed it, foot ball is getting ready to start, so i probably wont finish painting until later

OH, and i was going through my boxes, and if i havent sold any of my left over parts that im not going to use
by this weekend, im going to trash them, or give them to a junkyard locally.

what u mean, i still dont know how it works by seeing that lol all you can see is 2 holes...you had to have assumed there were holes in there somewhere haha im j/k with u

i just taped up the part where the filter goes and sprayed the second layer of primer... going to go do the alluminum color now.

moar

heres after the first coat of alluminum paint.

after painting tonight, i noticed that the primer sprays and goes on thick, while the
alluminum color comes out at a higher velocity, so its best to keep the color can
further away from the item you are painting.

geez are you sure ur gunna want to put this thing back in the car....im sure you could make a frame for it or sumthing lol, id be so picky if my engine was that perty

That oil filter housing looked pretty grungy, not like the block that you had all cleaned up at the machine shop.

Since the oil housing will get the hottest of all the engine parts except the head do you think that primer is going to stick good enough?

Just thinking out loud....
