Well the ball has really started rolling over on FJ, so I'll let you guys know what's happening. The leanings now are towards a meet at Morrow Mountain State Park in Albemarle, NC. It's pretty close to being centrally located for NC/SC. I know some people will have to drive a ways to get there, but at least it makes it pretty balanced for the mountains & coast people. I know there is never a perfect spot for everyone, but this looks like it might work the best. Keep in mind that this is by no means the last meet we'll have this year, so if it's a little far and you'd like to have one closer to home, chime in here and we'll see about trying to organize one there later on in the year.

Look i don;t mind going to different places but you guys just had your meet in wilmington last weekend, and if there are people in coastal areas of south carolina they need to speak up and let us know so were not shafting them.

Ok guys, this isn't the only place I've posted this up. Actually, I'm just kinda helping spread the info over here. The original idea was started by guys over on FJ. There were people from both the mountains and the coast who were interested in meeting and wanted to find someplace equidistant for both. That's why it's ended up being where it is.

I'm not trying to alienate anyone, I'm just trying to help coordinate things. If the SC guys want to meet up, that's fine with me. I'm just not as familiar with places in SC, so I'll end up relying heavily on your guys input. No one ever said there couldn't be any meets in SC, you guys just need to speak up. If you want to have a meet somewhere in SC, then I'd just start a thread to that effect. That's basically how I got things started last year.

BTW, if you guys still want to meet up in Greenville, I think that's a great idea. You could start a post about a meet at Quaker Steak & Lube / Frankie's with all the info you guys have decided and maybe there will be some more people who would be interested in meeting up with you guys. Heck, depending on when, I might even drive down and hang out with you guys.

Again, I'm not trying to "play favorites", I'm just trying to help organize things if I can. It's been my hope that we'll have small pockets of meets that spring up all over both states, but it's gonna take all of us to make that happen.

Austin: I don't understand what you mean by "enough meets in the NC/Charlotte area". We had 4 regional NC meets last year, but there were little to none before that. In organizing those meets, I went with where the interest was. The SC guys are finally stepping forward to make themselves heard and that's great. I hope that will cause some meets in SC to happen this year. I wonder if you might be mistaking regional state meets for SFT meets. The SFT is simply a local Charlotte-area group that we've started from within FF. As a result, all of those meets will be around the Charlotte area.

Anyhoo, I know you can't please everyone all of the time, but I do apologize if anyone felt slighted.

Just like Luke said you guys just had a meet in wilmington, NC an now your planing on another 2 in Charlotte, NC & Albemarle, NC. I've been here 6 months an every meet has been in NC, I just dont get it every meet that has been held it has been 2 to 3+ hours away for us. I wonder why sonicblue02, WRC_fan, Silonius never go to these meets an now i know.
