im pretty booked as of now. i will be there for the swap when the date is set.

i went out to my car this morning at 5am and i had parked in the ditch facing my driveway so my pass side was tward the road and higher in elevation. somehow water came in and filled the entire pass side of the big show!! lol so that gave me the excuse to take out the interior and also replace the wiring so now my power windows work. my wife was so kind to come freeze her a$$ off and help me out. i love that girl hows everybody? ill check back soon. sorry i have not been on much. please forgive the big G miss Ya'll!!!!

Hey thanks for your help guys. I thought the bells were diff too. I don't want to do a half case swap and jeopardize the tranny alignment. Now that I think about it, though, isn't the only difference for that extra 0.3L that the head allows 1/2 inch longer stroke? The engines are both built in the same plant in Mexico so the bells may be the same.

Also junk yard tranny's can be had easy in the Sac area.
Thanks for the info. Getting the CFM Heavy Duty clutch and flywheel.

I've read a lot on here about building an MTX and I was wondering what you guys' thoughts were on the 3rd gear synchro grinding issue. Am I getting too far into the weeds or is it worth trying to fix? You guys had any experience with it?

Gotta love the car girls. Sounds like you gotta great one there Gerald. Vaiva has helped me out a few times and it's sexy as hell seeing her get a little greasy. We're still butting heads about this tranny swap though.

Did you ever get those rims painted?

I got the SVT bumper shaved and all repaired, now she's ready for primer. The battery relocation box has been mounted, so now time to run the wires.

After that I need to work on a intake and my coolant/PS relocation. I'm at the point where I know it can be done, but I'm not sure I want to spend the money to do it.

I know what you mean. I feel like I'd have to totally gut my engine bay to do a halfway decent tuck/shave job. I just don't have the time, money, place or patience right now.
You're gettin' close though dude, it's gonna look so good when you're done
