^^ haha i wouldnt worry too much. SVT's are built to last. Cosworth developed a few of the engine parts (intake manifold [im almost positive] and the header)

dont worry about the rear brace, and the fact that is stock in the engine is a good thing IMO. you dont have to worry that the f'd up anything in there.

yeah man, rear strut brace is a good thing. Check out if there are any suspension upgrades as well... shocks? sway bars. Looks like there are a couple rough spots here and there, and the carpet should be cleaned. Offer $6K and see if he bites. at $6,900 it seems like a fair enough deal though.

I paid $10K for mine in 07, an '04 EAP with 30K miles on it. That seemed like a pretty screaming deal at the time.

It was probably driven hard, but it doesn't look like a crasher.

It came back with a clean Carfax, there was no indication of body repair in it's history. Clean title, it's a California car, so no smog equipment worries. It got new brakes and a "safety inspection" about 3K miles ago in Palmdale, CA.

I have a gift certificate for a full detail that I got last Christmas. I think this car will get that treatment...

I'll have a nice break-in drive bringing it back from Vegas so I'll know a bunch about it by the time I get home!

sweet! there are a few good mountain passes coming over from vegas... watch for ice this weekend!

the only thing about the engine compartment is it's missing a battery cover. other than that it looks nice and stock! in all honesty, this car doesn't need much modification to be fun. you can spend as much as you want... but it's a blast to drive just the way it is! I put a Progress 22mm rear sway bar and the dog bone treatment. that's about it.

Cheers!

I'm planning on pulling the following off my ZX3 and putting them on the SVT:

Ground Control Coilovers
Euro Signalless Grille
VF Engineering Dogbone
Clear Side Markers
Stainless Steel 2.5" exhaust
FocusSport front strut brace - red (going to color match it to the orange color)

As far as the Roush body kit, I'm now thinking of seeing how it looks with just the drop due to my coilovers and the SVT stock body... I might keep the Roush rear spoiler and spray it orange and see how it looks. But right at this moment, I'm thinking the Roush front and rear bumper and side skirts might be going on the sale board...

Scott

cool cool.

If you havn't bought the coilovers and front strut bar I might consider skipping these. The strut towers are so close to the filewall that it really makes no difference in the rigidity of the chassis. looks cool.

Coilovers are great for a race track, bad for dental work... IMO. These cars handle killer right out of the box. lowered fofo's do look sweet though!

what the heck... have fun with it! what ever makes it fun for you is all good!
