V6 Engine Swap Update......With Pics

Well the engine and trans(drivetrain from an 02 Cougar) are in........we'll be starting on the wiring this weekend and maybe by the first of the week we'll awaken the beast...........here's some teaser pics

02 Cougar Drive train......going to upgrade to and SVT contour UIM anf TB after the install is complete........should be in the 200hp range once I update manifolds.........

custom magnaflow cat-back(3 inch pipe), steeda lowering springs, mac shorty intake, focus firepower ignition and livewires, autolite platinum sparkplugs, reverse indiglo gauges, painted stock rims wrapped on sumitomos HTRZII, shorty antenna, mintex pads, aeroquip brake hoses, ebc rotors, no resonator, debadged, limo tinted, halo headlights, steeda short shifter, 4-2-1 race header, W-TYP sideskirts, S2 side mouldings, mazda tribute door handles

it is an engine and tranny from an 02 cougar.. looks really nice, pretty cramped though.. BUT those engines sound badass.. keep us updated.. maybe more detailed pics on actually how to do it.. (motor mount pics.. etc.) thanks.. good job.

What I've heard it's about 100 pounds heavier........when the car is sitting on the ground it sits no lower........it's a complete Cougar Drivetrain(the focus trans will not mate).......It's definately not an easy swap, my brother is the one bulding it and I'm helping when I can......so far he's stuffed a 5.0 injected engine into a Ranger, stuck a Focus Zetec engine into a 96(old body style) Escort, and put his Taurus SHO Engine swap Focus on hold to do this......so for him "hard install" has a whole different meaning to most people......but yes it is a fairly difficult swap........
