Cool Infineon Drag racing!

Hey guys, this July 21 i believe is another Infineon Wednesday night drag (they are held almost every wednesday). I really really want to go up and drag my car, but with only around 1000 on it so far, how much more should i put on it till i full out drag the car? My goal was 2000 but i wont be able to start driving her till the 5th (in tahoe right now). Do you guys think it is a good idea to take her up at 2000? before? or much later in the mileage? Hopefully ill have my FS intake in, and my Trubendz exhaust shipped and in the car also, so please lend me some wisdom as to what i should do.
BTW if anyone is interested in going, feel free. Last time i was up i saw some Foci (Red zx5, and 2 black zx3's in mid june). Im going up with some friends who arnt foci drivers, but it'll be fun non the less. peace
alan

I know 5K is the standard for VWs, newer ones have a rev limiter on them that disables itself at 5K miles. I dunno, you can take it to the track if you want, if I were you I wouldn't just yet, unless these track events are rare.

There is no break-in period, it's up to you but several people, including me, break in their cars hard intentionally and they swear by it.

1,000 miles are plenty, that is what the warranty is for. I say break it in the way you plan on driving it all the time. Fast and hard
