How to Fix Pigtails connectors on Ford Focus

Here is a how to write up incase anyone wants to know how to fix the pigtail on a Ford Focus.

Special thanks to Feral, The norm, and Bullitt5177 for helping me out when I

mostly needed them.

First you have to identify if the Pigtail connector is Faulty.

Mine was the ignition coil pigtail.

Next you want to cut the wires as close as possible to the old one.

As you can see from my pics mine was very torn up very close to the plug so

might as well cut it as close as I could to the plug.

Next you want to order your part. I use RockAuto website to get my plug.

Here is how it looks.

Then you want to Splice your cables.. If your were question was like mine

After you do that you can either use a blow dryier or a torch to melt the heat shrink wrap at the end it will look like this..

Finally just put the plug back. I used wire loom to cover my wires just incase the heat

wants to attack my wires it will protect them.

Good write-up! If you know how to solder, it is the perfered method (over butt connectors) for reattaching wires.
