car's been at Synaptic 3 Engineering (the aforementioned local rally shop) for a few days. They've done most of the work but need to replace a tie rod before aligning it. I also need to meet with them next week to talk about what work they'd recommend to get it rally ready.

Since they've done a ton of work on another Focus to prep it to Rally America regs, I'll be in good hands. They have a decent labor rate and seem like really good guys. So I'm glad I found them.

Not sure; should be well under $1000 for the stuff I wanted done. The cage and installing new seats will be a ton more.

kimbo305, I may use a different car when the time comes, not sure, but the thing is, this car is paid off, and has been for a couple years, so when it comes time to get a new car, (actually probably a truck) I can just start modding the car as I have the $$.

MLBBaseball are you using the ZX3 from your sig, that runs 14s?

That hydraulic handbrake....Can you retrofit that into the stock interior cup holder piece?

I want it...in my car!

If you cut out the plastic that you needed, I'm sure you could make it fit.

now not to sound like a total noob, but I know the ebrake uses steel cables to activate the rear brake, how do you bypass that to run the hydraulic ebrake?
