Saw a 2005 Mustang GT Today

Was driving into work at around 10 am, and much to my surprise I see what looks like a deep blue 2005 Mustang GT. So of course, I have to catch up to it to see for sure. At the next stoplight, after a bit of traffic weaving, I get up next to him. Luckily, the guy had his window down and I got a chance to talk to him quick. He said he was a Ford employee and one of the first to put his order in. He didn't really know how many more of them were on the road. Our conversation got cut short when the green light hit and I yelled for him to gun it. He was long gone and I didn't catch him at the next light.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen one, I know they are not hitting dealerships until August, ordered or otherwise. It was a very cool and exciting experience for me, so I thought I would share, and if anyone else sees one post it here, what color, where you saw it, etc. I saw this one in Troy, Michigan.

This Mustang is unbelievable, and hopefully in 3 years, when the focus is paid off, this will replace it. I want a silver GT.

Damn, that sucks hardcore. I got to see one of the three pre-production Ford GTs on the road as well almost a year ago. Gotta love livin' in the Motor City!

I'm so impressed with the new 'Stang, I have been drooling since I first saw the concept. As soon as I turn 24-25 and get that insurance break, I've already promised myself, as long as I have the means, that I will get a Cobra. Can't wait to see what SVT does to the new 'Stang, hopefully at NAIAS 2005.

I've seen ones in camo and factory paint being 'test driven' around the plant a couple times when I've been in the Detroit area.

the dealer gave me about 8 pages in specs on the car tho just no price range, said they didnt even have a price yet

My dad, who works at Romeo Engine Plant, said that they expect them to cost $3000-4000 more than current models, but possibly less. I'd be willing to pay that and then some, this Mustang is just plain awesome, inside and out. It's the last of the pony cars.

yea they look sweet and are turning about 10-20 more hp than the 04

I thought the '05 GT ran 300-305 horses and '04 has only 260? Also, the '05 supposedly runs with a smaller curb weight due to the all aluminum version of the 4.6L.
